Teacher Only Day – Tuesday 27 October

The school will be closed for instruction on Tuesday 27 October, Term 4, Week 3, for our Teacher Only Day.

This will provide an opportunity for our staff to participate in professional development focused on the curriculum changes, implementation and planning.

This date was shared with all whaanau at the end of last year; however, we would like to ensure that our new parents and whaanau who have joined us this term are also fully aware of the school closure.

According to Ministry of Education guidelines and regulations, the School Board must provide parents and caregivers with at least six weeks’ notice of any planned school closure or Teacher Only Day.

We hope this notice provides parents and caregivers with sufficient time to make alternative arrangements for your child/children, as the school will be closed on Tuesday 27 October, Term 4, Week 3.
