Naa, Te Puea Heerangi (former student of Maangere Bridge School)

Do you have a vision for nurturing a collaborative and positive culture in our community?  Do you have a passion for Te Marautanga?

We’re excited to announce an opportunity for an innovative and inspiring rangatira to join our team as a Deputy Principal!

Maangere Bridge School is taking a restorative approach to ‘giving effect to Te Tiriti’ by ensuring that there is leadership in Te Tiriti and capability at all levels of the school and governance.

We serve a diverse and multicultural community with over a third of our student population who whakapapa Maaori. Nested within the school is our taonga ruumaki reo unit, Te Hiaroa.

This position provides an opportunity for an emerging or established rangatira to be part of the leadership team. It has a high focus on supporting our kaiako and kaiaarahi in Te Hiaroa and weaving elements of Te Marautanga into broader school-wide leadership responsibilities. Applicants will have a proven ability to use data to target learning outcomes for all akonga and accelerate the progress of priority learners.

Maangere Bridge School will grow and we want to ensure that we strengthen our values-driven foundations with the necessary infrastructure and cultural capability to provide a safe and thriving learning environment for all our tamariki.

This position is available from Term 2, 2024 – start date is negotiable.

Applications close 22 March 2024 at 4 pm with interviews expected to be held in the following week.

A position descriptor is attached. For more information please contact the Principal Bernice Mata’utia  bernicem@mangerebridge.school.nz
