Kia Ora Parents/Families and Whaanau,

We would like to inform you on behalf of the Board and the staff that according to warnings and MetService we are expecting Tropical Cyclone Gabrielle to bring strong winds and heavy rain in the upper North Island.
All schools will have an emergency plan and we have been advised by the Ministry of Education to review this in advance of weather events. Any directive will be based on advice from emergency management services and the safety of our tamariki.
A decision will be made on whether it is safe for our school to be open during these events based on the health and safety of our learners and staff
The Ministry of Education will keep Principals and school leaders informed of responding to the impacts of the storm. We will continue to inform our school community, parents and whaanau once we have more information.
We appreciate your support and patience at this time. We ask that you refer to other sources of information such as Met Service as you prepare for Cyclone Gabrielle.
Kia Kaha, Be safe
