My name is Fetaia’ioaiga Bernice Mata’utia and I am very proud to be the Principal/Tumuaki of Maangere Bridge School since 2022.
Nau mai, Haere mai ki te kuura oo Maangere Bridge.
Maangere Bridge school is a welcoming, warm, caring and friendly place where all whaanau and tamariki feel a sense of belonging. We aim to provide high quality learning, effective practice, inclusive opportunities and experiences for all students that are authentic, responsive, and engaging.
Our story, our people, our school.
At Maangere Bridge we ensure all students are at the heart of all decision making. We embrace students’ interests, strengths and provide learning approaches that are enriched, challenging, fun and rewarding.
We provide specialists and external agencies to support our students with moderate to high learning needs in collaboration with whaanau through deliberate partnerships and ongoing koorero/talanoa/conversations.
Our beautiful school is located at the base of Te Pane o Mataoho, Maangere Mountain where we proudly serve a diverse and multicultural community for students in Years 1 – 6.
We honour and give effect to Te Tiriti principles, embrace Maaori, Pacific and other cultures and languages. Our core values Kotahitanga, Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga and Rangatiratanga are important to us and who we are.
Te Hiaroa is our Maaori Ruumaki Reo and Bilingual and bi-literate unit and a significant initiative that was established together with whaanau and the community. We are also excited to open up our first Pacific Samoan Immersion Unit through the support of our pacific community and ongoing fono.
We welcome you to come and experience our school as a place of learning where we care, support and love what we do.
We believe in our Vision ‘Aroha, Ako, Angitu’ where ‘Together we care, we learn and we succeed!’
