Piiwaiwaka Years 1 – 3

• Piiwaiwaka are an amazing team of teachers who teach our New Entrants  to Year 3 students. 

• Our Junior teachers implement a rich literacy and numeracy structured approach teaching reading, writing and maths with a focus on Phase 1 of the Refreshed New Zealand Curriculum ‘Te Mataiaho’.

• Our Junior teachers meet once a week for team meetings as part of professional development with a focus on student achievement data and discussing the needs and next steps of all learners.
