Announcement :

Our Sustainability Team

Our Sustainability Leader Whaea Hala has a team of students called the ‘Kaitiaki Warriors’ who participate in a range of learning that includes planting and growing a variety of seedlings/seed in our garden beds, using food scraps as part of our wastewise programme.

Our students have been involved in Sustainable Projects which includes taking part in community initiatives and projects such as Innovation and Waste Minimisation.

Our partnership other stakeholders such as ‘Oke Charity Trust’ work alongside schools to provide Kiwi kids the opportunity to learn life and social skills by introducing sustainable ‘outdoor classrooms’. They were able to provide a range of garden tools, seedlings, a tunnel house and a garden shed to help our school get started and it was great to have whaanau supporting our working bees as part of our Kotahitanga and Kaitiakitanga.

Whaea Hala also shares on our paanui/newsletter the Sustainable Notices to encourage and empower our tamariki to have an interest in outdoor experiences where you learn social and garden skills.
