Our Home Learning

We encourage our parents and whaanau to create opportunities at home for our tamariki to spend 20 – 30 minutes a day reading to your child or listening to your child read a familiar book. Talk to your child about what they have been learning in class throughout the week and allow them to use their words to share their understanding of the new learning that may align with the student inquiry theme. 

Teachers will provide home learning opportunities that are meaningful and manageable as we understand it is important to have time as a parent/caregiver to spend with your child. 

We continue to work together in partnership with our parents/caregivers and whaanau to help our learners to be self-determined and passionate learners at MBS.
