Kia Ora Parents/Caregivers and MBS whaanau,
Hope you all have had a good long weekend.
The following are friendly reminders for this week starting after Labour Day.
Swimming Starts after Labour Weekend – Tuesday 28th October
Please refer to the swimming timetable. Your child’s classroom teacher will let you know if there are any changes to the timetable. If your child is unable to swim they must provide a note for the teacher with an explanation. The staff follow MBS guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our students who participate in the swimming lessons.

Happy Diwali Celebration – Thursday 30th October and Assembly at 2 pm
On Thursday 30th October we will be celebrating Diwali ‘Festival of Lights’ as a whole school. Our students can dress up in Diwali cultural and traditional attire.
Room 12 will be hosting the Whole School assembly on Thursday 30th October at 2pm to celebrate Diwali.
Whaea Priti from Room 2 has organised a range of fun and engaging activities for the week to support our tamariki with celebrating Diwali. Please see below more information shared about Diwali.
“Diwali,” derived from the Sanskrit word meaning “Festival of Lights,” is celebrated by millions around the world. It signifies the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, traditionally marked by lighting oil lamps, enjoying fireworks, sharing festive meals, and wearing new clothes.
This year’s themes — Unity, Harmony, and Togetherness — invite us to embrace new beginnings and honor the timeless victory of light over darkness.
