Kia Ora, My name is Bernice Mata’utia and I am very proud to be the principal and tumuaki of Maangere Bridge School.

Nau mai, Haere mai ki te kuura oo Maangere Bridge.
Maangere Bridge school is a welcoming, warm, caring and friendly place where all whaanau and tamariki feel a sense of belonging. We aim to provide high quality learning, effective practice, inclusive opportunities and experiences for all students that are authentic, responsive, and engaging.

Our story, our people, our school.
At Maangere Bridge we ensure all students are at the heart of all decision making. We embrace students’ interests, strengths and provide learning programmes that are enriched, challenging, fun and rewarding.
We provide specialists and external agencies to support our students with moderate to high learning needs in collaboration with whaanau through talanoa and koorero.

Our beautiful school is located at the base of Te Pane o Mataoho, Maangere Mountain and bordering Te Whaanga o Maanukau, where we proudly serve a diverse and multicultural community for students in Years 1 – 6. Te Hiaroa is our Maaori bilingual and bi-literate teaching unit and a significant initiative that was established together with whaanau and the community.
We welcome you to come and experience our school as a place of learning where we care, we support and love what we do.

We believe in our vision ‘Ako, aroha, angitu’ where all children can succeed.

Ngaa mihi nui, Fa’afetai lava,  Fakaue
